Sony is Developing Full Frame Black & White Censor Camera

According to the rumor of SAR, Sony is to launch a full frame B&W censor camera. SAR rated it as the SR4, which mean rumors from known sources. So the rumor is related reliable. Added on that Sony released the full frame A7 and A7R in 2013, this rumor is more likely to be true.

 

According the comments, many photographers have been inspired while the same amount of people doubt about the market of it. Though many people love black and white photos, there are very few photographers chooses it as the major direction. If you think that A7 and A7R are niche products, I’m afraid this one would be much more niche-like. After all, there are still many people who only shoot photos with the cameras, so the concept of pure photography is still accepted by a number of people. However, when it turns to B&W, the area is very limited. Some of my friends love B&W, but they prefer film cameras or just use the editing software. I asked them about the view of B&W censor.

In my view, this FF B&W camera will be very interesting and cool, but maybe hard to be accepted by the market.

Nikon Announced D3300 18-55 Kit and 35mm F/1.8G on CES 2014

CES2014 is the first important exhibition of 2014. Like other electronice companies, camera manufactures announced their new products on it. Samsung's WB2200F, Polaroid's Socialmatic, Panasonic 4K mirrorless, and Nikon's D3300.

Generally speaking, only D3300 and 4K mirrorless can be said as big news on CES. Samsung's camera's censor is too small while Polaroid's product will be on market at fall.

For the choice of new carbon fiber materials, D3300 is much lighter than the previous D3200, the new kit lens AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G VR II is also 30% smaller and 20% lighter.

On the other hand, the AF-S 35MM F/1.8G fills the blank of economical prime lens group (28mm, 50mm, and 85mm F/1.8G).

Trick of Flashlight In Product Shooting

Everyone wants to take great photos, but the high cost of camera body, lens, and a series of accessories keep many people away.In fact, photography is more like of a creative idea then master trick. Professional photographers can take first level photos with the iPhone. In this article, I will show you how to take a better product image with a coomon camera. The trick is a flashlight, papper, a tripod.

The devices I used include a camera (in this experiment, I used the Sony Nex-5N), a tripod, a flashlight (any light you can get, my choice is this Pellor Cree Flash Torch as I have one), a laptop, and one or two soft tissue papers.

By the way, the flashlight’s light would better be white, or the final photo will out of color.

There remaining thing is very simple. If you don’t have a tripod, you may need another guy to help you. Let’s have a look at the final work first.

The setting of camera is not very important, even the automatic setting is a good choice. The most important thing you need to keep in mind is the angle of camera and the torch. If you don’t sure about which one to choose, try different ones or directly use the way shown in the above picture.
