Camera to Camera, Lumia 1020, iPhone 5, Galaxy S4, and Moto X

Which smart phone is the best in camera? The argument is always continuing. There is no doubt iPhone and Galaxy is the most popular one. But if you only consider the feature of camera, the new model Lumia 1020 and MOTO X also become someone’s choice.

In the campaign, we can see that everyone has its highlights: Lumia’s 41MP, MOTOX’s 10 MP. Do they are better than iPhone 5 or S4? We can judge from real shootings.

Daylight outdoor landscape

Great landscape photo need more details to express the big scene, which makes pixel become a matter. iPhone 5 and S4’s performance can be said great, but Lumia is no doubt the best one. MOTO X? Forget it.

Low-light portrait (no flash)

Lumia 1020 and iPhone 5 have better performance than the other two, but 1020 has some problem of white balance. MOTO X has the problem of overexposure while S4 is too dark.

Low-light portrait (flash)

1020’s Xenon flash has better performance of the other three, but the white balance problem still exists. iPhone 5 makes the shirt out of color.

Outdoor macro

Lumia 1020 wins again in this part, but the color is slightly warm. In this part, iPhone and S4 is more accurate in the color. When it comes to MOTO X, though the details are sharp, the color is not correct enough.

Static

At last we can test the effect of color accuracy and white balance from static photography. There is no winner but a loser, the MOTO X.

After these testing, what is your opinion of best smartphone camera?
