Combination of Modern DSLR and 19th Century Petzval Lens




The member of Lomography lovers community recreated a really “old lens” and get ideal shooting effect on the modern DSLR. The community claims that if it can be mass produced, it woulbe be on market at spring of next year with the price of $500.
 
 

This Petzval is first invented by Joseph Petzval who was the mathematics professor of University of Vienna. The photos taken at later years are mainly from this lens. After modified, it can work well with Canon, Nikon, and other DSLR. Biggest aperture is f/2.2, MM is 1 meter, and weight is 1 pound.
