Why Photographers Don’t Give You All the Photos

It is a common condition the clients ask for all the shooting photos to professional or amateur. Generally, photographer will ask clients not do say or even directly decline the requirement. Many of customers may feel confusing or even angry. Then, why photographers won’t give you all the photos.

First, client has no right to ask for the semi-manufactures. Will you ask for the paint draft while a painter draws for you? Would you ask for the spare fabrics while purchasing custom clothes? It is the same principle to the photos.

Some customer may also believe that it is no harm to the photographers. In fact, there is. The final works that sent to clients are after carefully choosing and editing. Those final works represent the figure and word of mouth to others. Those semi-manufactures will do harm to the photographers.

Let back to the reality, not every photo is perfect. At one time of shooting, photographer may take a lot of photos, many of which are in the same gesture and content. Do you really want the photos that aren’t chosen and edited by the photographers?

If you still want all of them, just ask for yourself why. Do you believe that are still great ones in the photos on the way of deleting? Or you believe that you can do a better job in Photoshop? Do trust your photographer or you shouldn’t choose him at the first. Let photographers do the entire job or become the photographer if you wish.
